Every December my sister and I would spend a day with our grandma and bake cookies all day. The highlight was making spritz butter cookies.

Next we decided to tackle this wonderful maple pancake muffin recipe. The genius part of the recipe is the maple syrup glaze on top of the muffin. Really, you could do almost anything to the base, and the pure maple syrup on top would still make the whole muffin taste like a pancake. So I just boldly went for multiple substitutions in order to make a healthier muffin.

Pumpkin Pasta

This week I was craving pumpkin pasta, so I turned some pumpkin purée into pasta sauce. I find this dish so comforting and tasty. With just sauce and noodles, this dish has a smooth and creamy texture (without cream). Or add a little pine nuts, bread crumbs, or crisp broccoli for a nice contrast in texture. Either way this dish tastes like Fall in every bite.
