Gemma’s potatoes are soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. It’s a simple recipe that satisfies my need for crunchy foods. With potatoes this good, who needs deep fried foods? I make similar potatoes, but Gemma’s are a notch better because they are crispier.

Cousin Laurie’s Disappearing Pecan Pie Bars
One Thanksgiving my cousin Laurie showed up with the usual pies plus a new addition to the dessert line up– these amazing pecan bars. During the appetizer hour, someone sneaked into the kitchen and took a taste of the pecan bars. Quickly, the word spread about these irresistible, gooey, flaky, crunchy pecan bars. There was […]

Flourless Nutella Chocolate Cake and Passover Memories
This year I have an outstanding edition to our usual Passover menu– Flourless Nutella Chocolate Cake. This chocolate cake recipe is the best cake I have ever made. It’s flourless, so it’s perfect for Passover. But don’t just serve it once a year. This cake is an impressive finish to any dinner party. What’s amazing about this cake is the texture. My friend Jody called it “Nutella cloud fluff.” The cake has a surprisingly light and smooth texture that I just want to savor. My family is going to flip when they taste it.
